Where I sleep

Sitting down for a bit of a rest on a wooden bench at the riverside, my eye caught a little black blob amidst the wheat. Curious as to what it might be, I looked closer and discovered it was a bee. A bee! Just casually hanging there, like it’s a normal thing to do. I could see his little stomach rise and fall, so he was definitely still alive. I realised then that he was vast asleep. His legs were hanging relaxed at the sides of the body, so how was he holding on in heaven’s name? Crawling through the grass to other side I discovered that all that was keeping him suspended in the air were his teeth!
