Every now and again, ladybugs wash up on the shore. It’s a terrible sight. Hundreds and hundreds of ladybugs drowning on the beach. The phenomenon remains unexplained. No one knows if they float from sea or arrive from land. Or why!
But they’re there again. Most of them were already dead, but some were stumbling around in the sand. I tried to rescue as many as I can. I brought them to the dunes nearby, but as I got home I noticed a couple of ladybugs crawling all over my backpack. I transferred them to my little garden and watched as they stumbled around the leaves.
