Wrapped up

Going to a biological market supports local farmers, reduces waste and is a joy for your taste buds. (Who knew cucumbers can be tasty instead of just watery green stalks?) Yesterday I got fresh veggies and fruits. Munching on the sweet raspberries, I decided to make a quinoa salad for lunch. As I gave the lettuce a quick rinse, I noticed a small thing in the sink. It was a slug! She had tumbled down and lay there in a tiny ball. To think that she’d spend a whole day in the fridge… and that I might have eaten her. Ah! I carried her to my little garden and I vowed to diligently wash everything. Twice!
