Hold on, we’re going home

Nothing but a blue sky, when I found a crab at the beach. At first I thought he might still be alive, but there was no longer any light in his eyes. It looked like he had been holding on for dear life to a piece of driftwood, so I scooped him and his buoy up and waded barefoot towards the open water. A burial at sea seemed fitting for an ocean creature.
